DJB Web Design is a UK-based freelance web design business operated by Dan. For anything relating to this policy or your personal data, contact dan@djbwebdesign.co.uk.
What data I collect
The only personal data collected through this website is what you choose to submit via the contact form:
- Your name and email address (required)
- Your phone number and business name (optional)
- The service you're interested in and your message
No data is collected automatically about you beyond standard server logs maintained by the hosting provider (IP address, browser type, pages requested) used solely for security and uptime monitoring.
How your data is used
Contact form submissions are used for one purpose only: to respond to your enquiry. Your details are never sold, shared with third parties for marketing, or added to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
Lawful basis
Under UK GDPR, the lawful basis for processing your enquiry data is legitimate interest — responding to a business enquiry you initiated.
Cookies
This site uses no tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
The only browser storage used is a single localStorage entry that remembers whether you've accepted or declined the cookie notice — so it doesn't reappear on every visit. This stores no personal information.
How long data is kept
Enquiry emails are retained for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting project, after which they may be deleted. You can request deletion at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data held about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

Third-party services
- Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from Google's CDN; Google may log the request IP.
- Tailwind CSS CDN — styling library loaded from a CDN.
- Web3Forms — processes contact form submissions and forwards them by email; submissions are not stored long-term by the service.
